1. Personal Use Only

1.1 The SMUAA membership fee is non-refundable at the point of application.

1.2 The membership card issued is intended for your personal use only and it is not transferable.

1.3 The card holder is responsible for any security breaches that arise through any incorrect use of the card. 

1.4 Members are not allowed to bring an external person inside the premise (i.e. from outside institutions / anyone who is not able to produce the right identification card). 

1.5 SMUAA does not assume responsibilities and claims in respect of any damage to the members’ property or injury which members may suffer, when using SMU facilities (including but not limited to the parking and sports facilities). The member fully accept that he/she is solely responsible for him/herself and his/her properties at all times when on the premises and understand that NO amount of instruction, precaution, and supervision will totally eliminate all risk of serious, catastrophic, or fatal injury or illness.

2. Proof of Status

2.1 Upon successful registration, you will receive a personalised Gold Card that recognises you as a member of the SMU Alumni Association. 

The Gold Card will display personal particulars that include but are not limited to the following: photo, name, NRIC/FIN, course of study and graduating class to facilitate your identity verification. A sample of the Gold Card can be found here. 

2.2 The membership card is proof of your authorized status to access facilities you are allowed entry to. Members must always carry their membership card to gain access to the facilities, and produce the card for inspection when requested by the authority. Failure to produce the card when requested may result in you being asked to leave the premises. 

3. Loss/Stolen Membership Card

3.1 If you lose your membership card, you should inform us immediately by sending an email to hello@smuaa.org.sg. Please note that you are liable and accountable for any misuse of your card prior to you informing us of your lost card.

3.2 Replacement card is available at a fee of $35. Your access to the respective campus facilities will only be activated after you receive the replacement card from us. 

4. Breach of Gym/Pool & Library Regulation

Applicable for members with add-on privileges

4.1 You are at all times subjected to the rules & regulation governing the use of gym/pool & library when you are inside the premise.  

5. Breach of Membership Regulation

5.1 Failure to adhere to the membership rules & regulations is an act of misconduct. This may result to your membership being confiscated by the relevant authority until such time the matter is resolved.

5.2 Disciplinary action may be taken, and these include warning letter, suspension, or withdrawal of the said privileges or termination of the membership. 

5.3 The SMUAA reserves the right not to confer membership renewal to members who have committed offence before.

SMUAA Refund Policy

There is no refund available if you use the wrong discount code. Once the transaction is processed , it is non-refundable. Kindly refer to your source of discount code to check on its terms and conditions.

Any membership purchased without being a qualified candidate will not be refunded. In order to purchase our membership, you have to be an official graduand from SMU or a SMU Alumni.
