SMUAA Alumni Conversation on SMU Alumni's Social Impact
Date: Wednesday, 25 Oct 2017
Time: 7pm to 10pm (includes dinner)
Venue: The Alcove (the newly refurbished The Basement next to B3 Alumni Bistro)
Alumni have expressed desire to make in impact in society, but are not sure how or where to get started. With a broader vision of SMU’s 2015 vision of producing a future generation of graduates who are capable of solving complex problems and making a difference to humanity, we wish to invite you to have a strategic conversation with SMUAA on how we can help bring this forward.
In partnership with the SMU Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) and the SMU Lien Centre for Social Innovation, we would like to hear your views on the:
- Types of social impact or common cause that you feel would be representative of the SMU Alumni body (i.e. what SMU Alumni can stand for).
- Skills, support, experience, and networks needed to get there.
- For SMU alumni leaders to lead fellow alumni and/or be influencers of social advocacy and social enterprise efforts.
- For Singapore and the rest of this world to know what SMU Alumni stands for in terms of social impact.
We will also be providing updates on the constitution, alumni fund and the alumni group framework and handbook.
