Surviving the SMU experience

The best advice that students can get is from people who have undergone similar experiences. Connect with current students at any stage in your life, and offer coaching on how to survive the SMU experience.

International Exchange

SMU students going on overseas exchange programmes welcome advice and guidance from alumni. You can help students to explore different overseas options.

Career Advice

You've got your dream job. You're the perfect person for students to speak with and help new graduates find the field that's right for them. Share your knowledge with current students and help them make the transition from university to work.

View the profiles of our 24 alumni mentors who were selected for this pilot program.

Here's your chance to make a difference now. Sign-up for the SMU Alumni Mentorship Program today and become an alumni mentor to our SMU students.

Now, SMU students can seek advice and guidance from our graduates through the SMU Alumni Mentorship Program. If you are a 2nd, 3rd, or final year student, you can apply here to be considered for the program. Closing date is 21 January 2010.

Overseas Work Experience

SMU students love hearing about the experiences of alumni who have worked overseas. If you have anecdotes to share about your overseas experience, or tips on relocating to another city, there are possible opportunities for you to speak with students.

CCA Groups and Community Projects

Remember Dare to Dream, Project Namaste, or CCA groups you were passionate about. As an alumnus, you are welcome to come back and share your expertise with students in projects that you have a passion for. Uphold the SMU Spirit by continuing to care for the community.
